We are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving practical engineering problems, collaborating with product and technical teams, and contributing to the technical direction of the platform.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
Build and improve services using Python and Go across different parts of the platform.
Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to turn requirements into effective technical solutions.
Contribute to technical discussions and help evaluate different implementation approaches.
Develop new features and improve existing systems with a focus on maintainability and performance.
Work with relational and non-relational databases and improve queries, data models, and application performance when needed.
Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external services.
Troubleshoot technical and production issues and contribute to effective solutions.
Maintain good standards for code quality, security, and system reliability.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices within the team.
Use modern AI-assisted development tools and coding agents as part of the development workflow.
Handle occasional front-end tasks when required, with support from existing patterns and AI development tools.
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals.
Professional experience with Python and/or Go, with the ability and willingness to work with both languages.
Good understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and asynchronous systems.
Experience designing and working with REST APIs.
Good understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with technologies such as Redis.
Experience with Docker and containerized development environments.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of software design principles, maintainability, and performance.
Ability to work independently when needed while collaborating effectively with the rest of the team.
Good communication skills and the ability to discuss technical decisions clearly.
Nice to Have
Experience with Go in production environments.
Experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies.
Experience with WebSocket or other real-time technologies.
Familiarity with React and Next.js for occasional front-end development.
Experience with object storage solutions such as MinIO or S3-compatible systems.
Familiarity with message queues, event-driven architectures, or technologies such as Kafka.
Experience working on healthcare, AI-powered, or data-intensive software products.
Experience using AI coding agents and modern AI-assisted software development workflows.
