Job Function: FO Engineer, Information Technology

Job Description

These individuals are expected to perform L1 Operations for both DB and Application at once

Supervision 24/7 of all project related services and applications in accordance with the agreed service level

Take the first corrective actions to isolate and neutralize the incidents and if necessary escalate to next technical support

Dispatch and control first line field service technicians

: Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The engineer will be responsible team member, working in a shift 24*7

...DB/OS-side: ability to understand tasks and tools that deal with

(Space checking (Table Spaces, Storages, DB file system

Checking Backups

Monitor Alert logs

Data guard Status

Statistics Status

Indexes Status

(Jobs Status (on DB/OS level

Spot long-running queries and be alert to performance issues

...etc

:Application-Side

Check Jobs Status (on ODI) at different levels of execution

(Recovery (if identified as a standard action in Operations Guideline

Basic diagnosis and correlation with Statuses n DB levels

:General

Understand warnings, alarms, and trigger escalations where necessary

:Knowledge experience and technical skills

Bachelor degree or equivalent level gained by experience in Information Technology/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Data Communications Engineering

Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support is a plus

Experience in a monitoring environment using a network management system

Experience in a network operations or IT service desk environment
