We’re building a bioprocess analytics and modeling platform for biotechnology companies. The platform helps R&D and manufacturing teams analyze and explore process scenarios.
We’re looking for a hands-on ML Engineer as cofounder with these capabilities:
- Strong Python skills and experience.
- Practical knowledge of statistics and machine learning, including regression, model evaluation, overfitting prevention, and uncertainty estimation.
- Experience preparing and analyzing small, noisy, or incomplete experimental and time-series datasets.
- Ability to implement mathematical models, simulations, and parameter estimation; familiarity with numerical methods for differential equations.
- Experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar tools, plus familiarity with SQL, Git, and software testing.
- Ability to read scientific papers and translate published methods into documented, testable code.
- Independent problem-solving, technical architecture skills, and effective collaboration with developers and domain experts.
Experience with experimental design, Bayesian methods, hybrid modeling, PyMC, PyTorch, or JAX is a plus. A background in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or industrial analytics is valuable. Familiarity with RAG and LLM tool integration is a plus.

Arrangement: Initially part-time, with equity-based compensation. We cannot offer a salary at this stage. Equity, responsibilities, and time commitment will be agreed in writing.
