Did you know that worldwide more than one-third of all food produced gets thrown away? This equates to 10% of greenhouse gas emissions!
Beninese is a food waste-fighting app which connects stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it.
We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join the team at Beninese.
Your role
· You will be responsible for developing a user-facing web application for consumers who help to fight food waste.
· You'll be responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact with, within a web application.
· You’ll need to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements
· Experience working with a JavaScript framework (e.g. Reacts, Node.js) along with working with CSS and preprocessors such as Sass or LESS.
· Writing clean and well-structured codes are required.
· Ability to troubleshoot, debug, modify, and analyze the solutions.
· Working experience regarding OOP, GIT, HTML & CSS, NPM, JavaScript, ES6, ES7, ES8 and jQuery, SOAP, REST, N-Tier development, Agile documentation, and UI-related abilities.
The following skills would be appreciated:
· Experience working with and knowledge of React native
· High level of proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, or frontend frameworks i.e. React .jess/Next .jest.
· Creativity and self-driven skills.
· Fluent with Secure handling of Node.js, REST
· Fluent with UI/UX.
