This position requires technical and practical expertise and support to ensure effective, safe and robust energy metering solutions and processes in Liberia
will also have to prepare strategic documents regarding planning of metering solutions and processes
Technical and practical assistance to ensure optimal metering operations in Liberia
Develop and improve metering system specifications for procurement
Develop metering system seal policy and support the senior management in implementing the same
Support senior management in establishing meter testing laboratory and implementing periodic field testing of customer meter installations
Implement an energy balance system and generate a losses report
Develop meter data analytics capability in LEC to strengthen revenue protection
Implement AMI or AMR system for large customers
Planning and assistance in procurement, installation, operation and maintenance of metering equipment and contractors
Prepare yearly budget and manage cost related to energy metering
Participate in technical reviews, investigations and troubleshooting problem solving
Develop competency schemes and training manuals for staff involved in metering, conduct assessments and advise on opportunities to fill the identified gaps
Update Metering standards, procedures and related documents
Provide support to Government agencies with regards to drafting of legislation which involves energy metering in Liberia
Delegate, plan, prioritize and review the work of other engineers and energy metering employees
Any other requests from Management with regards to energy metering support
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
An Electrical Engineering qualification or similar qualification
10years’ experience in energy metering, losses reduction and similar fields
Fluency in English
