Are you excited by the opportunity to design infrastructure needed to analyze big data? Do you want to help in building a data warehouse? If so, you might be interested in joining Jabama as a data engineering intern.
Your responsibilities as a data engineering intern will/may be:
· Design data schema and operate internal data warehouses
· Improve database and data warehouse performance by tuning inefficient queries
· Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines
· Design, implement and automate systems for collecting and processing log events
· Drive architectural plans and implementations for future data storage, reporting and analytic solutions
· Work collaboratively with data analysts and other co-workers to identify and solve problems

Basic Qualifications:
· Working long, hard, and smart (You can’t choose two out of three)
· Highly motivated, naturally curious, and with an insatiable appetite for learning
· Solid problem solving, and coding skills (Preferably Python or R)
· Proficient in SQL

Preferred qualifications:
· Basic knowledge of big data technology stack (i.e., Apache Kafka, Apache Druid, Apache Spark, Trino/Presto)
· Understand the basics of designing and implementing a data schema (e.g., normalization, rational model vs. dimensional model)
