About The Role

At Alibaba we’re looking for a Product Designer to help us build the future of travel.

As a Product Designers you’ll be working on our products and internal tools in cross-functional teams. Partnering up with user researchers, product managers and engineers you’ll work on problems from discovery to delivery, with a user-centered mindset and considering product and business requirements as well.


Requirements

  • Familiar designing in Web and App platforms
  • Articulate design decisions and work well on an ego-free and collaborative team
  • Familiar with using and contributing to Design Systems
  • Superb attention to details, and crafting the pixel-perfect product
  • Strong experience generating ideas, brainstorming, and concept sketching
  • Proficient with UI design and Prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Principle etc.)
  • Portfolio demonstrating visual design skills, experience of shipping products & showcasing your design process
  • Understand technical implication and business requirements in design decisions
  • Experience running user interviews and testing sessions
  • Eager to learn more and gain experience
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills
  • (BONUS) Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Responsibilities

  • Own and carry out design projects from start to finish with a “follow-up” character.
  • Develop design documentations (user flows, journey maps, wireframes, etc.) to help facilitate the design process.
  • Create prototypes to test and validate assumptions.
  • Solicit & participate in design critiques session with other designers.
  • Working closely with with UXR team to conduct qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Observe, understand user behavior & build empathy.
  • Work end-to-end with front-end engineers to ship a high quality product.
