Job Description

• Responsible of Physical security of the server rooms, Cabling and cable management.
• Installing ducts and patch panels.
• Installing CCTV cameras.
• Data center infrastructure monitoring including power and cooling, …
• Changing hardware part of equipments (removing faulted disks, upgrading server RAM, …)
• Providing solutions to optimize and standardize data centers.
• Create, update and maintain documentation for topology, policies, procedures and miscellaneous documents.
• Prepare progress reports for all work performed, updates tracking documents and distributes to managers and staff.
• Maintain inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware. Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work.
• Maintenance of all data centers including (hardware equipment, fire extinguishing, cooling, power, cameras).
• Perform hardware installations (rack / equipment) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing Carrying out all physical transfers of equipment
• Registering and updating the property code on the data center equipments and coordinating with responsible staff.

 Requirements

• 6 years of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
• Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
• Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
• Working experience with hardware installations (rack / equipment) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing.
• Provide Technical Support in a 24x7 high availability data center across different locations.
• Collaborates with internal departments and team members.
• Conscientious and responsible.
• Disciplined and precise timing.
• Ability to explain complex technical terms in a very clear way.
• Familiar with datacenter power (UPS, generator), fire detection and protection, HVAC, security and monitoring.
• Assists with shipping, receiving and distribution of equipment and hardware.
• Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner
