Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications
Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development

Job requirements:

2+ years of experience as PHP developer
2+ years of experience on a Development team within an Agile environment
Strong development skills and experience with WordPress
Design and implement new website features and functionality
Create and maintain WordPress templates, plugins, and admin side customizations
Understanding of theme customization
Experience in development of wordpress plugins
Superb and independent problem-solving skills (we love Googlers)
Superior time management skills
Excellent knowledge of Git, and REST (both design and usage)
In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP
Hands on experience with SQL schema design and SOLID principles
Familiarity with Linux/Unix
Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile environments-Understanding of MVC, OOP and other design principles
Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5/CSS/SASS
Effective client-facing communication skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and explain complex technical problems
Passion for writing well-documented code
Understanding the importance of development best practices and how they relate to security
