Responsibilities

- Development of Data Pipelines (e.g. ETL Job)
- Database development and maintenance
- Design Data Models for multiple technology paradigms (e.g. Graph, schema-less, relational, etc
- Develop, maintain and use deployment pipelines (following infrastructure as code paradigm)
- Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications and guidelines
- Self steered pick up on the on Incidents on the assigned software development track
- Collaborate with peers in the assigned projects such as TMD architects, other members of the SCRUM product team and experts and Data Architects
- Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company
- Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
- Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
- Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
- Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
- Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
- Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications
- Join daily stand up meetings and project meetings on site or remote

Requirements
 
- Very good knowledge in Python development and surrounding technologies
- Good knowledge with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, SQL Server), Graph databases (e.g. Neo4j) and schema-less databases (e.g. Mongo)
- Good knowledge with data pipelining / ETL frameworks e.g. Apache Airflow
- Good knowledge with streaming technologies e.g. Apache Kafka
- Conceptual knowledge of software design patterns, continuous integration and security
- Broad technical knowledge to help to advance our technological landscape
- Fluency in other programming languages is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, Open Shift and similar cloud technologies is a plus
- Knowledge about power systems and grids as well as energy markets helps to understand the main business
- Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to get things done
- Languages required: Dutch, German or French and English fluent (both C1).
