We are a growing company in the cryptocurrency exchange space, looking for a passionate Data Lead to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact while building something from the ground up. We currently don't have a dedicated data team, and we need someone excited to take charge of our existing data challenges and drive strategic solutions.
Your role will start by diving into our existing problems, defining key opportunities, and crafting data-driven solutions to improve our business. As you grow in the position, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead your own data team—creating a structure that identifies problems, defines key metrics, and solves complex challenges.
We're looking for a leader who is comfortable being hands-on today while building for tomorrow. You'll work in a dynamic, agile team environment, developing impactful solutions that can be scaled to millions of users.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing data and identify key insights to help drive business decisions.
- Define and implement data strategies that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with different teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable solutions.
- Establish data processes and best practices for data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Build and lead a data team as the company grows, including hiring, mentoring, and managing team members.
- Develop and maintain key metrics and dashboards to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively identify data quality issues and work to improve data reliability and accuracy.
- Lead initiatives involving machine learning models to solve business challenges, including predictive analytics and optimization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a data lead or similar role, ideally within a fast-growing or startup environment.
- Strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent working knowledge of machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Experience with machine learning, including developing and deploying models
- Strong analytical skills and mathematical intuition.
- Knowledge of data generation and analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical business solutions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Pursuing a degree, a BA/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience is preferable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
- Experience with Python for data analysis.

- Understanding of time series forecasting techniques.
- Strong understanding of the crypto market and related data analytics.
