About the role:

As a Web Developer, you are responsible for ensuring that visitors to the website have an easy time interacting with the page. Using the design, technology, and programming to code a website's appearance, as well as taking care of debugging, is how you do this.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients to develop the overall look and design of a website or web application
  • Writing website code with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
  • Producing, maintaining, and modifying websites and user interfaces
  • Incorporating applications, graphics, audio, and video clips into client websites or web application
  • Creating tools that enhance the user’s website experience
  • Ensuring websites are accessible across many devices, including laptops and smartphones
  • Routinely testing websites for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors
  • Fixing any website issues or bugs that arise

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Web developer.
  • Ability to write clean, effective, and production-ready code
  • Proficient understanding of front-end markup, including HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
  • Expertise in using CSS frameworks and preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less).
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Experience with front-end automation tooling (Gulp, npm, Sass).
  • Strong ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Expertise in responsive design and development.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Fluency in Git (we use Github) and terminal-based operations.
  • Understanding of key website design principles and SEO optimization
  • Ability to test and debug websites
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of WordPress, including custom theme development

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with React.
  • Expertise with performance and optimization problems.
  • Solid understanding of PHP and developing WordPress plugins
  • Experience writing automated tests (e.g., Jest, Karma, Mocha, etc.).
  • Fluency in English (as a second language)
