Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, containerization technologies, and network management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our services, by managing, automating, and improving our infrastructure and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Jenkins CI/CD Management:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve development workflow.
Ensure the scalability and security of CI/CD infrastructure.
Docker and Docker-Compose Management:
Develop and maintain Dockerfiles and docker-compose scripts for various environments.
Manage container orchestration and ensure containerized applications run smoothly.
Monitor the performance of dockerized applications and optimize resource usage.
Network Management:
Understand and implement networking concepts (Network+ level).
Monitor and manage network infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot network-related issues and collaborate with the network team for resolution.
Common Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
Scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, or strong demonstrable knowledge in the areas mentioned.
Certifications related to the skills mentioned (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Network+) are highly regarded
