Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, containerization, automation, system reliability, and security. You will work closely with development, QA, IT, and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency, scalability, security, and operational excellence in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. CI/CD and Automation
    •    Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions.
    •    Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to improve release speed and reliability.
    •    Integrate pipelines with code quality, security scanning, and artifact repositories.
    •    Optimize pipeline performance and ensure high availability of CI/CD systems.

2. Cloud and Server Management
    •    Manage and maintain cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure.
    •    Deploy, configure, and administer Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
    •    Configure networking components, firewall rules, security groups, and load balancers.
    •    Ensure scalability, availability, and performance of infrastructure environments.

3. Containerization and Orchestration
    •    Build, deploy, and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters (K3s, Rancher, Minikube).
    •    Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for microservices.
    •    Troubleshoot containerized applications and cluster issues.
    •    Apply container security best practices, including image scanning, runtime security, and least-privilege access.

4. Monitoring, Logging, and Reliability
    •    Good experience in centralized logging architectures using ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Fluentd, Filebeat, or equivalent tools.
    •    Ensure application, container, and infrastructure logs are properly collected, parsed, and enriched.
    •    Forward and integrate logs securely into SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk,Wazuh).
    •    Support security use cases by ensuring logs meet compliance, audit, and forensic requirements.
    •    Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

5. Security and Hardening
    •    Enforce infrastructure security through access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and secrets management.
    •    Perform container image hardening and vulnerability assessments.
    •    Harden CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and deployment workflows.
    •    Support security audits and compliance initiatives.

6. Scripting and Automation
    •    Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
    •    Implement cron jobs and scheduled automation tasks.
    •    Create reusable tooling to reduce manual operational overhead.

7. Collaboration, Tools, and Workflow Management
    •    Collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to improve DevOps processes.
    •    Use Jira for task tracking, sprint planning, and incident management.
    •    Maintain and continuously improve documentation in Confluence.
    •    Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.

8. Documentation, Diagrams, and Knowledge Sharing
    •    Create and maintain clear, structured technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
    •    Develop and update architecture diagrams, infrastructure diagrams, and deployment flow diagrams.
    •    Ensure documentation reflects current system state and best practices.
    •    Actively contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.

9. Code Quality and Review Tools
    •    Support and maintain code review workflows (GitHub/GitLab merge requests).
    •    Integrate static code analysis and security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
    •    Enforce secure branching, approval policies, and repository hardening.

Required Skills and Qualifications
    •    3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
    •    Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    •    Experience with monitoring, logging, and automation tools.
    •    Strong focus on security, reliability, and operational excellence.
    •    Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create diagrams and technical guides.
    •    Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.

    •    Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
    •    Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    •    DevSecOps tooling and practices.
