We are looking for a Senior VMware Administrator to join our team at Zafta. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VMware vSAN Stretched Cluster, enterprise storage, and SAN networking, as well as experience working in an enterprise banking environment with multiple data centers. Responsibilities:
Design and implement VMWare VSAN storage solutions in enterprise-level environments
Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vSAN Stretched Cluster
Manage and troubleshoot VMWare VSAN storage systems
Perform capacity planning and performance tuning of VMWare VSAN storage systems
Develop and maintain documentation related to VMWare VSAN storage solutions
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies related to VMWare VSAN storage
Provision and manage virtual machines and resources
Perform vSphere performance monitoring and troubleshooting
Implement and maintain vSphere disaster recovery plans
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement storage strategies
Manage and maintain enterprise storage systems
Manage and troubleshoot SAN networking
Work with the Storage team to ensure proper storage provisioning and configuration
Work with the Networking team to ensure proper network configuration and troubleshooting
Evaluate and implement new VMware technologies
Provide technical support and guidance to other VMware administrators
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience as a VMware Virtualized Infrastructure Administrator
More than three years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMWare VSAN storage solutions
Experience working in an enterprise banking environment with multiple data centers
Excellent understanding of networking and enterprise storage technologies such as NAS, SAN, and iSCSI
Experience with VMware vCenter Server
Experience with VMware vSphere management tools such as vSphere Client and PowerCLI
Experience with enterprise storage systems such as EMC VMAX, NetApp FAS, and IBM DS8000
Experience with SAN networking switches such as Cisco MDS and Brocade SilkWorm
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
VMWare certification(s) such as VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, or VCP-DCV preferred
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions for VMWare VSAN storage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation
Experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager
Experience with cloud storage technologies such as AWS EBS and Azure Disk Storage
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
Knowledge of software-defined storage
Experience in vSAN MAX
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position located in our Tehran, Iran office. Some travel may be required
