About Melli Gold:

Melli Gold is a leading online gold trading platform, trusted by over 1 million users for secure and seamless transactions. Our mission is to redefine digital gold investment using cutting-edge technology, with a strong focus on reliability, transparency, and scalability. We are rapidly evolving our infrastructure to support growing demand and modern user expectations.

As part of this evolution, we are hiring a Tech Lead to own the core architecture, drive engineering excellence, and lead a high-performing team through a critical growth phase.

Responsibilities:

Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of key backend, frontend, and infrastructure initiatives.
Own the migration path from legacy systems toward a scalable, service-oriented architecture.
Collaborate closely with the CTO on platform architecture, scalability, and long-term vision.
Mentor engineers and foster a high-ownership, high-accountability engineering culture.
Coordinate cross-functionally with product, design, and business teams to deliver value-aligned solutions.
Set and enforce engineering standards, including CI/CD, testing, documentation, and code quality.

Our Stack:

Backend: Python (Django, DRF), PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
Frontend: Next.js (App Router), TypeScript
Services: Node.js (NestJS)
Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD

Requirements:

Proven experience owning production systems in both Django and Node.js
Deep expertise in RESTful API design, asynchronous workflows, and database optimization (PostgreSQL)
Successful track record of leading technical teams or complex technical initiatives
Strong command of frontend-backend separation and modern frontend architecture
Hands-on experience with message brokers, distributed systems, and microservice communication patterns
Operational experience with containerized deployments, CI/CD (preferably GitLab), and Kubernetes
Experience leading system migrations from monolithic to modular architectures
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or secure financial systems
Familiarity with compliance, auditing, or regulated environments
Prior contributions to open-source projects or technical publications
