We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. You will design and execute effective test strategies, validate APIs and distributed systems, and contribute to both manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute test cases based on requirements
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
- Conduct API testing and validate service integrations
- Work with databases (MySQL/MariaDB), write SQL queries, and validate data consistency
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Cypress or Playwright
- Execute API tests using Postman (manual & automated)
- Identify, document, and track defects; verify bug fixes
- Collaborate with developers and product teams in an Agile environment
- Participate in release validation, smoke testing, and production issue analysis
Required Skills
- 2–5+ years of experience in software testing (Manual and/or Automation)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of software testing principles (ISTQB concepts)
- Experience with API testing
- Proficiency in Postman (manual & automation)
- Experience working with databases and SQL
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language
- Experience with Cypress or Playwright (hands-on experience is a strong advantage)
- Understanding of web applications and microservices architecture
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with performance testing, especially with k6
- Knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience in e-commerce platforms
