Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer

Bernet is looking for a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer to build and lead the development of real-world AI-powered products.

We are looking for someone who can take an AI product from idea to production — designing the architecture, building the backend and frontend, integrating AI models and third-party platforms, deploying the system, and helping guide the technical team.

This is a hands-on engineering role. We are not looking for someone focused only on AI research, prompt engineering, or prototypes. You should have experience building complete, production-ready software products powered by AI.

What You’ll Build
Examples of products you may work on include:
● AI-powered digital products
● Intelligent automation solutions
● Conversational AI applications
● Data-driven AI systems
● AI-enabled business platforms
● Recommendation and matching systems
● RAG-based assistants and knowledge systems
● Internal AI automation tools
● Integrations with platforms such as Meta, Google, CRM systems, communication platforms, and other third-party services

Responsibilities
● Design and build AI-powered products from concept to production
● Architect scalable backend systems, APIs, databases, and AI services
● Build modern frontend applications and user interfaces
● Integrate LLMs and AI models into real-world product workflows
● Build AI agents, tool-calling systems, RAG pipelines, and multi-step workflows
● Develop AI-powered voice and phone solutions
● Build matching, recommendation, classification, and data-analysis systems
● Integrate products with third-party platforms such as Meta, Google, CRMs, messaging platforms, telephony
providers, and external APIs
● Design reliable authentication, permissions, APIs, background jobs, queues, and data pipelines
● Deploy, monitor, optimize, and maintain production systems
● Improve AI system reliability, latency, accuracy, and cost efficiency
● Make technical architecture and technology-stack decisions
● Review code and establish engineering best practices
● Break product requirements into technical plans and development tasks
● Mentor developers and help guide the technical direction of the engineering team

Requirements
● Strong professional experience building and shipping production software
● Strong full-stack development experience
● Strong backend engineering skills with technologies such as Python, Django, FastAPI, Node.js, or similar
● Strong frontend experience with technologies such as React, Next.js,
● Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar
● Experience building real applications using:
○ AI Agents
○ Tool / Function Calling
○ RAG
○ Vector Databases
○ Structured Outputs
○ AI workflows and orchestration
● Strong understanding of databases, APIs, authentication, system architecture, and distributed systems
● Experience integrating third-party APIs and external platforms
● Experience deploying and operating applications in production
● Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, reliability, and performance
● Ability to independently turn product requirements into technical solutions
● Ability to lead technical decisions while remaining highly hands-on with development

Strong Plus
Experience with any of the following is a strong advantage:

● Voice AI and conversational systems
● Twilio, Vapi, ElevenLabs, SIP, VoIP, or telephony infrastructure
● LangGraph, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks
● n8n, Make, or workflow automation platforms
● Meta APIs, WhatsApp Business Platform, Instagram APIs, or Google APIs
● Recommendation or matching systems
● AI-powered analytics and data pipelines
● PostgreSQL, Redis, Vector Databases, and message queues
● Docker, CI/CD, AWS, GCP, or similar cloud infrastructure
● Observability and evaluation systems for production AI applications

Technical Leadership
This role is expected to grow beyond individual development.

You should be able to:

● Define the technical architecture of new products
● Evaluate technologies and make pragmatic build-vs-buy
