• Leadership: A Data Science team lead should be able to lead and manage a team of data scientists, data analysts, and other professionals. They should be able to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to their team members and help them grow and develop their skills.

• Technical expertise: A Data Science team lead should have a solid technical background in data science, machine learning, statistics, and programming. They should be able to understand and solve complex data problems and provide technical guidance and support to their team members.

• Communication skills: A Data Science team lead should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They should be able to explain complex data concepts and insights clearly and concisely and present their findings to senior management and other stakeholders.

• Project management: A Data Science team lead should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that they are delivered on time and within budget. They should be able to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage risks effectively.

• Business acumen: A Data Science team should understand the business context in which they operate. They should be able to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and solutions and align their team’s work with the organization's broader goals.

• Collaboration: A Data Science team lead should be able to collaborate effectively with other teams and departments within the organization. They should be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and work together to achieve common goals.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in leading a team of data scientists and analysts.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, machine learning, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
