Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Structural Design Engineer with experience in concrete and steel design to join our team. This is a remote position offering direct mentorship from our Principal, along with hands-on experience in leading and delivering high-quality projects. This role provides an opportunity to develop and explore innovative structural design ideas while gaining a thorough knowledge of building codes. You may also be required to assist on building code-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop effective structural solutions.
  • Prepare detailed structural designs for building components, including performing necessary engineering calculations.
  • Engage with internal technical teams to enhance design processes, tools, and standards.
  • Coordinate with the drafting team to prepare shop drawings.
  • Produce detailed reports for building assessments and other structural or code projects.
  • Develop preliminary structural schematic designs and sketches.
  • Conduct building code reviews and prepare code compliance drawings and reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong foundation in concrete and steel design; experience in light-gauge steel framing is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to building strong, empowered relationships that align with common goals.
Required Training & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of focused experience in concrete and steel design.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role is $800 per month, with additional compensation based on experience and technical expertise.
