Here at Hermes Capital, we’re seeking talented infrastructure engineers to join our team and play a crucial role in the design and development of infrastructure solutions for our flagship projects involving algorithmic trading systems in both the Tehran Stock Exchange and Cryptocurrency Markets.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for :
Responsibilities: 


  • Availability and reliability of services across our clusters
    • Effective health checks, monitoring, and provisioning of machines, networks, and services
    • Maintain, fine-tune, and scale our data streams and data warehousing solutions (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, PostgresDB)
    • Backup and Recovery: Implement backup processes and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Understanding Team Requirements:
    • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 
    • Identify pain points, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within the team’s workflows.
      Gather insights on their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
  • R&D and Technology Assessment:
    • Conduct thorough research on existing technologies and emerging trends.
    • Explore solutions that align with the team’s goals and address specific inefficiencies.
    • Consider factors such as scalability, ease of adoption, and integration capabilities.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC):
    • Run PoCs for selected technologies.
    • Test their feasibility, performance, and impact on team efficiency.
    • Involve team members in the evaluation process.
    • gather feedback and continuously monitor the impact of implemented technologies.
Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree: Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years in roles such as System Administrator, or Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Linux Administration: Proficiency in managing Linux-based systems (LPIC1&2).
    • Virtualization Concepts: Familiarity with VMware ESXi
    • Service Containerization and Orchestration: Familiary with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
    • Networking Knowledge: Understand VLANs, DNS, IP, SSL, routing, and switching. Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
    • Infrastructure Automation: Experience with Ansible and Bash scripting.
    • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpManager.
    • Logging Solutions: Exposure to ELK stack.
    • Familiarity with Data Streaming and Warehousing 
  • Problem-solving skills: Excellent judgment and analytical thinking.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective planning, organization, and time management.
  • Availability: Willingness to address emergency issues outside of regular working hours.
  • English Proficiency: Able to read and understand technical documents.
  • Certification: Any certification related to the job description would be a plus.
