Analytics Engineer

SabaIdea Holding is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our expanding Data Department. This position offers flexibility with remote and hybrid work options. As an Analytics Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, enable self-serve analytics, and ensure the availability of reliable, high-quality data to support the Data Analytics team with actionable insights for decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows.
Create and maintain data models, ensuring alignment with analytics needs.
Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to provide clean, reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.
Develop and manage data transformation processes using modern tools and frameworks.
Build automated data validation systems to ensure data quality.
Document and maintain best practices for data engineering and analytics workflows.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to address business data requirements.

Required Skills:

Experience with CI/CD workflows for data pipelines.
Strong experience with Python for data transformation, analysis, scripting, automation, and API development.
Experience with Docker for containerization of databases and applications.
Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, database optimization, backup and recovery.
Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
Knowledge of distributed databases and NoSQL systems (e.g., MongoDB).
Proficiency with Linux systems and server management.
Strong knowledge of Git for managing codebases.
Proficiency with BI tools like Metabase.
Familiarity with data build tool for managing data transformations.
Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

Solid understanding of Elasticsearch for indexing, searching, and analyzing data.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus for observability.
Experience working with cloud platforms like Google Cloud for data processing.
Experience working with modern data warehousing solutions like BigQuery.

· Experience working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark.

Exposure to machine learning workflows and model deployment.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming tools.
Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
