At bluBank, We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines that support reporting, analytics, machine learning, fraud detection, and other business-critical applications. You will work closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Backend Engineers, and Product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance, and scalable data solutions.

- Design and develop batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Build and maintain scalable data processing and streaming systems.
- Design and operate datasets that power reporting, analytics, machine learning, and fraud detection use cases.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across the data platform.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and query performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data platform initiatives and architecture decisions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience designing and building batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with Kafka and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, or equivalent).
- Experience working with modern data platforms and large-scale data systems.
- Experience working with analytical or search platforms such as Elasticsearch.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and operating production systems at scale.
