Responsibilities

Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices
In charge of facilitating daily standup, sprint plannings, and retros
Coordination with the product team to receive ad hoc tasks in the middle of the sprint, prioritizing and injecting them in the sprint (only if necessary) by keeping the capacity of individuals in mind
Measure and monitor the velocity of team and individuals and actively try to improve the velocity without compromising the health of the team
Monitoring burndown chart and sprint health and communicating risks well in advance to the product team
Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Ownership and accountability of establishing agile values, methods, principles, and practices for the delivery of projects and products.
Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.

Skills

Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Coming from a quantitative background and knowing how to work with spreadsheets
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Note-taking and setting reminder needs to be his/her daily routine
Experienced in JIRA
