شرح موقعیت شغلی

We are looking for a passionate, accountable, and multitalented Data Engineer to facilitate the operations of our Data Scientists at Ostadkar’s Data Team. You are going to solve daily data challenges and deliver great solutions for them by design, develop, validate, maintain, release, and operate our data infrastructure.

Responsibilities





  • Conceptualizing and generating infrastructure that allows big data to be accessed and analyzed.
  • Reformulating existing frameworks to optimize their functioning.
  • Testing such structures to ensure that they are fit for use.
  • Preparing raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists.
  • Detecting and correcting errors in your work.
  • Ensuring that your work remains backed up and readily accessible to relevant coworkers.
  • Remaining up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related area. Master is a plus
  • +2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in related roles such as Data Scientist, Data Analyst, etc
  • Linux Knowledge (LPIC1)
  • Able to install, configure and maintain Data Engineering Technologies
  • A knack for independent and group work
  • Capacity to successfully manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision
  • knowledge about big data tools, like Hadoop and/or Spark
  • Experience with at least one of the  relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra and ElasticSearch, time series databases like influxdb
  • understand data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow or experience in ad hoc data pipelines and Data warehouse design ( not necessary, extra bonus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams

Added Values





  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages. Python is mandatory. Other languages will be considered as a plus.
  • Experience with stream-processing systems like Storm, Spark-Streaming is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools is a plus.
