Ostadkar is looking for a Senior Scrum Master. You are guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Moreover, you are helping the team on how to get the most of our self-organization, removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right person to remove the impediment. You are going to work closely with the product team and reporting to CTO and Director of Product. Ostadkar is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our full-time team in Tehran, Iran. Identify needs and problems and proactively drive solutions.

Skills And Requirements 



  • Experience is playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team.
  • Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Organizes and facilitates work planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and sprint and release planning.
  • The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Track and produce key metrics (e.g., burndown, burnup, cumulative flow, velocity, etc.)
  • Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning Agile methodologies.
  • Experienced with JIRA and its features.

Interview Process



Our process for evaluating candidates is constituted of multiple steps as follows:



Step 1: 



The CTO reviews all applications, and potential ones are selected for a phone interview. He/she will look for the best match for the hiring position. Therefore, please read the job description thoroughly to increase your chance.



Step 2:



A short phone interview will be conducted with the potential candidate by a senior scrum master. We will go over your resume and ask questions about your previous experience. It will be between 10 to 15 minutes long.



Step 3: 



A mini project is designed for the candidate to do in less than a week. A senior scrum master will be in charge of helping you with this project. The project will be a hypothetical situation in which you, as a scrum master, need to take action.



Step 4:



We will invite you to have a chat. In this meeting, we will discuss more your past experience and the approach you took in your project. CTO, a scrum master, and a product manager will involve in this meeting. 



At each step, if we cannot proceed with your application, you'll be notified by email or the medium you applied. However, if you did not get any notification, you are on our waitlist. In stage 2, it may take up to a maximum of 15 working days to call you. However, on average, it takes seven working days for most of our applicants.
