At Okala, we’re looking for a highly analytical, curious, and hands-on Senior Strategic Insights Analyst to help us build a deeper understanding of our business, customers, and market , and turn that understanding into better decisions.

This is not a reporting role.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys going beyond dashboards and surface-level trends; someone who asks why, drills into the data, connects signals across different parts of the business, and can turn complex analysis into clear strategic insight.

You will work closely with Strategy, CX, Market Intelligence, and business teams to help us understand what is happening, why it is happening, what might happen next, and what we should do about it.

What You’ll Do

Bring together business, customer data (CX), and market data to build a 360° view of key opportunities and problems.
Go beyond KPI movements to identify root causes, underlying drivers, patterns, correlations, and behavioral shifts.
Lead deep-dive analyses on strategic questions .
Build analytical frameworks and models for scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business trade-offs.
Translate complex analysis into clear insights, implications, and recommendations for Strategy and leadership.
Measure the impact of major initiatives and decisions, distinguishing real impact from simple before-and-after movements.
Use AI, automation, and analytical tools to make analysis faster, deeper, and increasingly scalable.

What We’re Looking For

Strong analytical thinking and the ability to break ambiguous business questions into testable hypotheses.
Excellent hands-on skills in SQL and strong working knowledge of Python for analysis and modeling.
Solid understanding of statistics, segmentation, cohort analysis, experimentation, correlation, and causal thinking.
Ability to work with large and messy datasets and independently move from raw data to a reliable conclusion.
Experience building analytical or predictive models such as forecasting, clustering, scoring, driver models, or scenario models.
Strong business judgment ,you can connect data with business context rather than analyzing numbers in isolation.
Ability to communicate complex findings simply and confidently to senior stakeholders.

AI & Modeling Mindset

We’re particularly interested in someone who is comfortable using AI as part of their analytical toolkit.

You don’t need to be an ML Engineer, but you should be able to:

Use AI and LLM tools to accelerate research, analysis, coding, and analytical workflows.
Build and test lightweight predictive or decision-support models.
Understand where machine learning can meaningfully improve a business decision ,and where it cannot.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is not about producing more reports.

It is about helping the organization see things it could not see before.

Your work should help us answer questions such as:

What is really driving this change in customer behavior?
Which segments are creating or destroying value , and why?
How are customer experience, operational performance, and business outcomes connected?
What will likely happen under different scenarios?
Where should we invest, where should we stop, and what trade-offs are we making?
Did the decision we made actually create the impact we expected?

Ultimately, your role is to turn data into insight, models, and better decisions.
