About the Team

Data is at the foundation of Miare success. The Data Engineering team builds solutions for various use cases including reporting, product analytics, marketing optimization and financial reporting. By implementing dashboards, data structures, and data processing architecture this team serves as the foundation for decision-making at Miare.

To lead the growing team of Data and BI engineers we are looking for managers who are passionate about data and are thought leaders in coaching, guiding and leading teams to make data a winning edge for Miare.

About the Role

Miare is looking for a Data Engineering Manager, to guide the development of enterprise-scale data solutions. This manager will also act as a technical expert on all things related to data architecture to empower all of the teams of data engineers, data scientists, business intelligence experts and operation data analysts.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Directly work with CEO, COO, CTO and other stakeholders to understand data/reporting requirements
Work with engineering, product teams and 3rd parties to collect required data
Design, develop and implement high-performance data models and pipelines
Develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA and implement monitoring routines
Build and implement ETL frameworks to improve code quality and reliability
Build and enforce common design patterns to increase code maintainability
Design and implement BI dashboards that will drive critical decisions in practically every domain
Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations
Mentor and coach team members to improve their designs and solutions

3+ years experience working in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role
Expert in Database fundamentals & SQL
Proficiency in Python & its data processing tools like numpy, pandas, …
Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams
Knowledge of reporting tools such as Apache Superset, PowerBI, …
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, self-starter and self-organizing
Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information
