REMOTE Node.js Developer

Job description

Long-term opportunity for ambitious and loyal back-end developers looking to make a difference in an exciting start-up company
Advanced knowledge of Firebase, Node.js and MongoDB and good command over Git for version control. Full knowledge of OOP, SoLid, Rest API design is expected.

We are a start-up company in Canada looking to expand our product worldwide. Our main project is a mobile application that utilises Flutter for the front-end and Firebase, Node.js and MongoDB for the back-end. Our company is a young and efficient start-up looking for more like-minded people.

The company has been able to cultivate a positive environment where careers are challenging yet rewarding and career development opportunities are abundant.

You must be able to clearly communicate in English, no Persian is spoken in company meetings.

You will be responsible for

Developing back-end mobile applications using Flutter
Editing some of the APIs to improve them
Add proper security rules to the database
Writing clear, maintainable and testable code
Properly commenting and documenting code
Using Firebase cloud messaging for implementing push notifications
Implementing automatic triggering of push notifications using our data in MongoDB database
Using version control (Git and Github)
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous development tool (CI/CD)
Writing Unit Tests to ensure lack of faultiness in the software

The Profile

Familiarity with Firebase storage, Firebase realtime database, and Firebase authorization
Experienced with Node.js, MongoDB and JSON files.
Ability to work with common JS packages (Express, Mongoose, etc. )

No university education is required, but a degree in Computer science, Engineering or related disciplines is preferred. Any credentials or certificates, including online courses are welcomed.

All weekends are off, and employee will be given up to 10 paid vacation days in the year
Up to 10 sick days can be offered with half-pay
5-10% salary increase after 1 year experience
