Job Description
General: Seeking a versatile DevOps Engineer capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your role will involve a range of responsibilities including system optimization, workflow automation, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Documentation: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, detailed documentation of our systems and processes. Strong written communication skills are essential.
Troubleshooting: Candidates should have a proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. Experience in identifying and fixing system and network problems is crucial.
Maintenance: This role involves regular maintenance of our systems to ensure reliability and performance. You'll be tasked with system updates, security patches, and performance tuning.
Disaster Recovery: You will develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss in emergency situations.
Network: Responsibilities include managing and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring security, and maintaining network performance.
Server: Server management is a key aspect of this role, requiring skills in setup, configuration, and optimization of physical and virtual servers.
Backup and Archive: You will manage our data backup processes and archiving systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Virtualization: Experience in virtualization technologies, especially VMware ESXi, is crucial for efficient management and optimization of virtual environments.
Operating System: Proficiency in various operating systems including Windows, Windows Server, Linux, Ubuntu, and Debian is required.
Monitoring: You will oversee the monitoring of all systems to ensure optimal performance and quick resolution of any issues.
Web Server Management: Experience in managing various web servers like IIS, Apache2, Nginx, and LiteSpeed Web Server is essential.
Source Management: Strong understanding of source management tools, particularly GitLab, is important.
Version Control: Expertise in version control systems is necessary for maintaining the integrity of our codebase.
Programming languages and Scripting: Familiarity with C#, Python, and PHP, along with proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting language is required.
CI/CD: Skills in CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and management using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI are essential.
DataOps: This role involves database administration and management, including both relational (MS SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
DevSecOps: Knowledge in security automation and server security management is crucial, along with experience in access management and test automation.
Testing: Experience in test automation, stress testing, and tools like JMeter is necessary to ensure software quality and performance.
Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration in production environments is required.
