Python Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mid/Senior Python Developer to join our growing engineering team at RFactorial. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain backend services powering our AI orchestration platform, intelligent automation systems, and cloud-native applications.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong backend engineering expertise, at least 3 years of professional experience, and a solid understanding of software engineering principles. You should be comfortable building scalable APIs, designing distributed systems, and working with modern AI, machine learning, and agentic architectures to deliver intelligent, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
Build high-performance RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services.
Develop AI-powered backend services, intelligent agents, and workflow automation systems.
Design and implement agentic applications using modern LLM frameworks and orchestration tools.
Collaborate with AI, platform, and frontend engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Integrate machine learning models and AI services into production applications.
Design scalable architectures for asynchronous processing, messaging, and distributed systems.
Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate to translate product and business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years of professional backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Solid experience with:
- FastAPI
- SQLAlchemy or similar ORM
- Pydantic
- Async Python programming
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or NATS.
Experience building distributed and microservice-based applications.
Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

Experience working with AI and machine learning applications.
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI ecosystems.
Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
Experience integrating vector databases such as Milvus, pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Experience deploying and serving machine learning models.
Knowledge of MLOps workflows and AI model lifecycle management.
Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Argo Workflows.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
