Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Belgium - Remote

Job Description:


We are seeking a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our platform based on microservice architecture. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, shape the DevOps practices, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our platform.


Responsibilities:


Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Architect and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including any distribution such as Rancher or MicroK8s.

Implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Continuously monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and security of the platform.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevOps, microservices, and cloud platforms.

Mentor and guide junior DevOps team members, providing technical leadership and sharing best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a senior-level DevOps Engineer.

Strong knowledge and experience with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, with expertise in GitLab CI/CD.

Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Extensive experience with any distribution of Kubernetes, such as Rancher or MicroK8s.

In-depth understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Expertise in managing cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar.

Solid understanding of security principles and best practices for infrastructure and deployments.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
