Senior Import Procurement and Logistics Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Import Procurement and Logistics Specialist to manage end to end procurement import customs clearance transportation and logistics activities for telecommunications and ICT equipment
The role includes supplier management international purchasing import licensing currency processes customs clearance transportation coordination and cost control while ensuring timely delivery regulatory compliance and supply chain efficiency
Key Responsibilities
Manage international procurement and supplier relationships including quotation comparison negotiation Purchase Orders and supplier performance evaluation
Manage import procedures including NTSW registration foreign currency requests import licenses CRA and SAMT approvals and banking processes
Coordinate international and domestic transportation including air sea and land shipments shipment tracking urgent shipments and last mile delivery
Manage customs clearance and verify commercial documents packing lists HS Codes permits and other required documentation
Monitor shipment schedules and resolve delays to ensure on time delivery
Calculate landed costs including duties taxes freight and insurance and support cost optimization
Manage cargo inspection damage claims insurance claims and return processes for defective goods
Maintain accurate procurement import customs and logistics records and ensure audit readiness
Ensure compliance with customs import export currency and organizational regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Industrial Engineering Business International Trade or related fields
Electrical Engineering or IT Engineering background is a significant plus
Master degree and professional certifications such as CIPS CISCM CLTD or ISO 31000 are considered a plus
Five plus years of relevant experience in import procurement logistics or supply chain preferably in ICT or Telecommunications
Proven experience with imports from China and Europe under CRA licenses
Experience with high value projects preferably one million US dollars or more
Advanced Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and Macros
Strong knowledge of HS Codes INCOTERMS 2020 customs procedures and import and export regulations
Knowledge of currency and banking procedures related to imports
English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6 or higher
Strong negotiation analytical problem solving crisis management coordination and follow up skills
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
