- Oversees a Technical team that provides day to day operations by maintaining, managing, monitoring, and administering storage and virtualized server systems across multiple networks.
- Responsible for making operational decisions within all VMware Suites associated with system/application activity and performance to ensure the stability of the environment.
- Ensure that the VMware system is optimized for the utilization of SAN storage and resource allocation.
- Candidate must be able to adhere to adverse schedules due to the nature of the customer’s missions
- Expertise planning, designing, and leading a variety of complex project tasks
- Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance.
- Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
- Supports the planning of system/environment requirements for individual projects.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with VMware vSphere ESXi product line
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with SAN/NAS technologies (3Par, EMC )
- Experience Working with HPE Servers, Configuring, and troubleshooting them.
- Experience working with Backup Solution (Netbackup, Veeam ) tape devices
- Experience using proactive software and hardware monitoring solutions like vRealize Operations (vROPS) for troubleshooting, and capacity planning
- Experience with monitoring systems (PRTG, Solarwinds, ManageEngine, Vermont )
- Experience with networking technologies and support VMware NSX deployments
- Excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team
