About Pricing & Promotion Squad

The Pricing & Promotion Squad, a part of the Commercial Tribe, in the Product Department is responsible and owner of all pricing products like price monitoring, buybox algorithms, auto-pricing, price calculation features, etc, and promotion products like promotion rules, promotion features, and promotion calculations.

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will partner directly with the Product Managers, Designers,  Developers, and QA Engineers to define new features and grow our products based on your understanding of user needs and will assist a cross-functional team to ensure our products are innovative and bring new possibilities to our users.

As The Pricing Product Manager, you will collect and analyze data, translate the insights drawn from the analysis, and work with developers, stakeholders, and the design team to define new features or make improvements based on these insights. The pricing product manager needs a detailed and numeric mindset about the product, cause this product is all about validating, calculating, and enriching prices in Digikala for various users like DK’s customers, sellers, retailers, operation agents, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision, direction, and product strategy to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the development life cycle.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products and present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with overall company strategies, and in this regard, the Product Manager should define customer needs and the associated features and solutions to meet those needs.
  • Ensure that products solve customer and business problems and are stable in production, satisfying scalability, reliability, performance, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and user experience to ensure the right customer problem is solved.
  • Ability to divide large projects into iterative releases.
  • Understand technical requirements for the completion of new initiatives and ensure their success.
  • Facilitate communication across internal teams and explain the value of new initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies in PM tools, processes, and workflows.
Requirements:

  • MA/BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years experience, preferably in business applications development or product management for internal/external products.
  • Process and business understanding in the domains of E-Commerce.
  • Experience delivering products that incorporate advanced analytical techniques, data-driven decision processes, and applied statistical methods.
  • Experience in leading product development from start to finish, including customer-facing products, with the ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering.
  • Proven success in delivering complex technology products/services in a high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated solid judgment and effective communication skills. Ability to see the big picture, while navigating technology and partner development decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences in Farsi and English.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools (such as SQL, Excel, Python, or R).
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communicational skills and experience in stakeholder management.
Nice To Have:

  • Experience in product management of Pricing related products.
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development.
