Senior Motion Designer | Blue BearX

Warning before you read on: this is a senior role only, for a true motion artist who builds the whole piece including the footage, not just the graphics layer on top. If you have fewer than 6 years of professional motion experience, please don't apply. We want a master, and your reel needs to prove it on the first watch.

The Opportunity

Blue BearX is hiring a senior motion designer. We want a creative technologist who takes a concept and delivers the entire moving piece (the design, the animation, the footage, the finish), not a graphics-only animator. We make bold work for global brands across SaaS, blockchain, fashion, real estate, and more, and we want someone who can make content people can't look away from.

This is a core role with a clear path to Content Production Lead, working alongside our global creative team.

What You'll Do

  • Own complete motion pieces from concept through design, animation, footage, and final delivery
  • Design motion graphics and animated brand stories using 2D and 3D techniques
  • Create cinematic VFX sequences and clean compositing that lift live-action footage
  • Build product reveals, dynamic typography, and transitions that stop the scroll
  • Produce motion-led social content, paid ads, and promos optimized for each platform (Reels, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Set the standard for what our content can be, and stay ahead of emerging creative tech
  • Keep projects moving with clear, daily communication
What You Bring

  • Mastery of motion design. This is the core of the role. Your motion feels intentional, native to the platform, and impossible to ignore.
  • 6+ years of professional motion experience (the reel must prove it)
  • After Effects mastery: animation, expressions, plugins
  • Strong 3D skills in Cinema 4D (Blender a plus)
  • Advanced VFX and compositing: tracking, rotoscoping, keying, masking
  • Editing ability. You also need to cut and assemble footage to deliver a finished piece. You don't have to be a specialist editor, but you can hold your own from start to finish.
  • Professional English fluency (non-negotiable)
Software (the more of these you know, the better)

Core: After Effects, Cinema 4D, and a solid grip on the Adobe suite (Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation).

Bonus: Blender, Houdini, Nuke or Fusion for compositing, Mocha Pro for tracking, Red Giant tools (Trapcode, Magic Bullet), Element 3D, rendering engines like Octane or Redshift, Adobe Substance for 3D texturing, and editing tools like Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Newer tools like Cavalry or Rive count too. If you've mastered a professional tool that gets the job done, we want to know about it.

  • Generative AI fluency (Runway, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, ComfyUI, ElevenLabs, and the like) and the instinct to blend AI elements into motion and live-action work

Portfolio Requirements

Your reel should show complete motion pieces (not isolated graphics), 2D and 3D animation, VFX or compositing, and platform-optimized motion content. AI-enhanced work is a welcome plus.
