Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Python engineer to work on the data serving services. This system is responsible for fast and scalable responses to data requests from various sources.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain async API endpoints on FastAPI
Optimize latency in Elasticsearch 8 queries
Design and implement caching strategy with Redis
Collaborate with the infra team to monitor the service via Grafana and Sentry
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the serving path
Write integration and load tests for endpoints
Participate in code review and drive continuous code improvement

Required Skills

Must-have:

At least 3 years of experience with Python
Deep familiarity with FastAPI and async programming.
Experience with Elasticsearch (preferably version 8)
Familiarity with Redis for caching and session management
Familiarity with REST API concepts and HTTP performance
Familiarity with PostgreSQL

Nice to have:

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Familiarity with performance tuning and scaling large services.
Familiarity with OData protocol.
Familiarity with CI/CD methods.
Prior remote work experience in distributed teams.
