Senior Full Stack Web Developer

AppBox · Remote (Iran) · Full-time · Senior Level

Location: Iran (based here required) · Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM IRST · Language: English-only CV required

What You'll Build & Own

• Enterprise-grade Next.js + Supabase applications: multi-tenant architecture, role-based access control, complex workflows, and systems with real business logic and strict data-governance requirements

• Internal tools for mid-to-large organizations across marketing, finance, logistics, compliance, and operations; features that integrate cleanly into well-architected codebases

• Complex features end-to-end—from requirement through production deployment. You own architectural and technical decisions independently; code review is verification and design discussion, not a gate

• Clean architecture patterns: follow them, enforce them, justify deviations. Security by design: Row Level Security, data isolation, multi-tenancy as instinct. Documentation as a first-class deliverable—written so the next developer moves without asking you

What We Need From You

• Senior-level production web development: you've shipped real things people use

• Next.js in production (App Router preferred, Pages Router fine); Supabase/PostgreSQL at scale (RLS, complex queries, transactions—not just CRUD)

• Vercel deployment experience (environment management, secrets, preview deployments)

• Security mindset: data governance, access control, multi-tenancy as instinct, not afterthought

• Architecture discipline—you understand why patterns exist before you change them

• AI as infrastructure: Claude and Cursor are core tooling here. You use them to move faster and validate what they produce. You know what they're good at and where they fall short

• Strong documentation skills and proven experience in fast-paced, senior-level environments

How We Work

We operate with a flat, founder-led structure where every developer has direct access to decision-makers and the opportunity to make meaningful impact. Depending on the project, you may take ownership of an application end-to-end or collaborate with other developers on larger technical challenges.

We are AI-native. Tools like Claude and Cursor are embedded into our workflow, and we expect developers to use AI effectively while applying strong engineering judgement and taking ownership of code quality. We value ownership (responsibility for outcomes, not tasks), security by design, technical excellence, speed with quality, honesty and accountability, and attention to detail—the last 5% is the job.

Hiring Process

Stage 1: Soft Skills Interview (30–45 min)

Your philosophy on AI-assisted development, approach to documentation and knowledge transfer, how you manage accountability in team workflows, your experience in senior fast-paced environments, and your understanding of AppBox's mission.

Stage 2: Technical Interview (60 min)

Architecture design for complex multi-tenant systems, data modeling and Row Level Security in Supabase, deployment and environment management on Vercel, security patterns and data governance thinking, and real-world problem-solving and technical decision-making.

Stage 3: Technical Assessment (2 hours)

We provide a reference implementation of a feature already deployed in production. You implement it independently (30 min–2 hours), then walk us through your implementation and review ours. We evaluate your implementation approach, architecture decisions, code organization, how you leverage AI tools, ability to articulate design choices, and your ability to critique existing code thoughtfully—including what was done well and what could improve.
