Django Backend Intern

About the Internship

Mazraeh, an AgriTech platform developed by Lotus, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Django Backend Intern to join our engineering team.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates who are passionate about software development and eager to gain hands-on experience in building real-world products.

As a member of our engineering team, you will work alongside experienced developers and gain practical exposure to backend development, software architecture, databases, APIs, and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using Python and Django
Support the implementation and improvement of RESTful APIs
Participate in software design and architecture discussions
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and Backend team members
Assist in database design, development, and optimization
Participate in code reviews and technical learning sessions
Contribute to debugging, testing, and performance improvements
Help maintain technical documentation

Required Skills

Good knowledge of Python programming
Familiarity with Django Framework
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Familiarity with software design principles and design patterns
Basic understanding of service-oriented architecture concepts
Familiarity with Git and version control systems
Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL databases
Familiarity with Redis concepts
Interest in DevOps and software deployment practices
Strong willingness to learn and grow professionally

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Django REST Framework (DRF)
Familiarity with Linux environments
Basic understanding of REST APIs
Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts
Experience with personal, academic, or open-source projects
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus

Education

Bachelor's or Master's student, or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

What You Will Learn

During this internship, you will receive practical training and hands-on experience in:

Python and Django development
Backend architecture and software engineering principles
API design and implementation
PostgreSQL and Redis
Git workflows and collaborative development
DevOps fundamentals
Agile software development practices
Working on production-grade software systems

Internship Details

Internship duration: 3 months
Possibility of full-time employment after successful completion of the internship
Internship compensation is negotiable and ranges from 50% up to the full minimum salary defined by labor regulations
