Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive audit plans, conduct risk assessments, and execute audit procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards within the travel sector.
3. Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation, and provide recommendations for enhancement.
4. Financial Auditing: Perform financial audits to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including revenue, expenses, and budgeting.
5. Internal Controls: Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures, and make necessary recommendations for improvements.
6. Reporting: Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for management review.
7. Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the internal audit team, ensuring their professional development and adherence to audit standards.
8. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments and teams to drive a culture of accountability and transparency, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related academic field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent).
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant internal auditing experience, preferably in the travel industry.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Thorough understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in audit software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
