Job Title: Network Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity on the abrNOC team for an experienced Network Engineer who thrives on challenges and innovation.
This role is critical to designing, managing, and scaling the robust network infrastructures that power our data centers and global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and optimize BGP routing in a multi-homed environment
Design and maintain scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architectures
Implement and manage DDoS/DoS mitigation strategies to safeguard the infrastructure
Blend and manage multiple ISPs for traffic optimization and redundancy
Monitor performance and resolve latency, connectivity, and security issues
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
Define, document, and enforce network standards and topologies
Manage IP address capacity across data centers
Troubleshoot routing/switching incidents and network anomalies
Collaborate with the engineering team to scale the network with business growth
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and infrastructure

Role Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven hands-on experience with BGP configuration and management
Strong knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6, and network diagnostic tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
Solid understanding of core protocols and services like DNS, SSH, SNMP, FTP
Familiarity with security best practices (ACLs, firewall rules, filtering)

Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS
Strong understanding of switching concepts: VLANs, STP
Experience with DDoS/DoS mitigation tools (e.g., Arbor Networks, Cloudflare)
Hands-on experience with ISP blending and multi-carrier failover solutions
Scripting skills in Python or Bash for network automation

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and documentation habits
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Certifications:

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Expert (CCIE) – Routing & Switching or Service Provider
Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS-SP)
Arbor Networks DDoS Protection Certification or equivalent
LPIC-1 / LPIC-2 – a plus
CompTIA Security+ – a plus

Work Location & Schedule:

Company Location: Fatemi St., Jahad Square, Tehran, Iran.
Workplace Policy: Full Time – Onsite
Worktime: Sunday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM with 2 hours of flexibility to suit your schedule
Remote day: Tuesday
