About the product

We're a local-first, multi-tenant SaaS platform built on a few convictions we hold deeply:

Local-first. The client syncs against a local database, so the app is fast and fully usable offline, then reconciles when it reconnects.
Real-time collaboration. Conflict-free collaborative editing, with access governed by clear sharing boundaries (personal, workspace, team).
AI that earns its place. Agentic assistance, semantic search, and voice capabilities that make a knowledge base smarter, not a chatbot bolted onto the side.
One codebase, every surface. A shared core ships to web, mobile, and desktop, backed by a modern edge/serverless stack.

How we work matters as much as what we ship. We run a deliberate pipeline research gate → spec → plan → board — backed by PRDs, RFCs, and spikes. Writing is how we think: decisions live in documents, not chat threads. If that sounds like overhead, this isn't the place. If it sounds like relief, keep reading.

The role

As Product Manager you own the product roadmap across every pillar editor and collaboration, sync and offline, AI, and monetization and you set the product process the whole team runs on. You won't inherit a roadmap; you'll build one from discovery, data, and judgment, and earn the team's buy-in through crisp written specs.

This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability role. You're the person who turns a messy field of opportunities into a sequenced plan, who says "not yet" to good ideas so the right ones ship, and who keeps engineering, design, and the founder pointed at the same goal. As we grow, you'll help hire and mentor the PMs who scale the function beside you.

What you'll do

Own the roadmap. Set priorities across all pillars and make the "why" behind them legible to the whole team.
Drive discovery. Talk to users, watch how the product is really used, study the market and where it's heading, and turn what you learn into bets.
Write the specs. Produce PRDs and specs clear enough that engineering can build without guessing. You set the bar for product writing here.
Define and instrument success. Choose the metrics that matter for activation, retention, and revenue and make sure we can actually see them.
Sequence and prioritize. Make the hard trade-offs across pillars, surfaces, and platform work, and protect focus.
Align the team. Keep engineering, design, and leadership moving toward the same outcomes; run planning and reviews.
Land launches. Partner on go-to-market for major releases so the work reaches users.
Make marketing fluent in the product. Be the source of truth on what we're building and why teach marketing the real user problems and what's genuinely new, so they can position, message, and prioritize on their own.
Scale the function. Define the bar for the product org, hire future PMs, and coach them.

What we're looking for

Must-haves

4+ years in product management.
A strong written communicator. You write precise, persuasive PRDs and specs, and you prefer documents to meetings.
Outcomes over output. You can point to product decisions that moved a real metric and walk through the reasoning.
Comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy. You create clarity where there isn't any.
Data-fluent. You define metrics, read dashboards, and won't ship without a way to measure success.

Nice-to-haves

Background in knowledge management or productivity tools, local-first/offline-first products, or real-time collaboration.
AI product experience LLM features, retrieval, agentic workflows.
A technical or CS background, or time spent as an engineer.
Experience hiring and leading other PMs.
A feel for building for developers or technical prosumers.
