At MelliGold, we build products that deal with users’ real assets (gold). Therefore, trust, transparency, and a seamless user experience are critical to us. We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to take full ownership of the User Research domain, build deep and continuous relationships with users, and turn research outputs into actionable insights for product decisions. This role works closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Data and Business teams, and will be one of the key pillars of product decision-making at MelliGold.
Role Overview: As a Senior UX Researcher, you will be responsible for designing and leading the user understanding journey throughout the product lifecycle — from problem discovery to solution validation. The primary focus of this role is insight generation, not raw data production.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to precisely define research questions and objectives
Select, design, and execute appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methods based on the problem (Interviews, Usability Testing, Surveys, Diary Studies, Concept Testing, Prototype Testing, etc.)
Design and develop user understanding tools and frameworks (Personas, Journey Maps, JTBD, Insight Repository, etc.)
Analyze user feedback across all channels (product, support, social media, etc.) to extract patterns and identify friction points
Work with quantitative data (Product Analytics, funnels, events) to uncover user behavior and combine it with qualitative insights
Translate research findings into clear, prioritized, and actionable insights for product decisions
Proactively flag user experience risks and issues throughout the journey and follow them through to resolution
Regularly document and clearly present research outputs to the product team and stakeholders
Help institutionalize a user-centric culture within the product team and across the organization
Requirements & Skills:
Proven hands-on experience in UX Research or UX Design with a strong research focus (Senior level)
Ability to design and execute end-to-end research processes: from problem definition to insight delivery
Strong ability to turn data into insights and insights into recommendations
Skilled at formulating precise, answerable, and actionable research questions
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods and a clear understanding of when to use each
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner to the product team
Self-driven, accountable, and well-organized in time management
Experience working with remote testing and research tools
Nice to Have:
Experience in Fintech, Payments, E-commerce, or financial products
Experience working on B2C products with high sensitivity around trust and security
Familiarity with startup environments and decision-making under uncertainty
