شرح موقعیت شغلی

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Crawler and Data Analyst to join our growing data team. The role involves extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources (websites, APIs, and databases) to provide valuable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with data, a strong analytical mindset, and a basic understanding of web crawling techniques and tools.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Crawling (Web Scraping):

·         Design, implement, and maintain web scraping scripts or tools to collect data from various online sources, including websites, social media, and APIs.

·         Monitor the performance of scrapers and troubleshoot issues related to data extraction, including identifying and resolving any website structure changes that break existing scrapers.

·         Ensure that data is collected accurately, efficiently, and ethically, following all relevant data policies (e.g., website terms of service, GDPR).

·         Regularly update and refine scraping logic to adapt to new requirements or data sources.

 

2. Data Cleaning and Preparation:                      

·         Pre-process raw data by handling missing values, standardizing formats, and ensuring consistency across datasets.             

·         Clean and organize extracted data to make it suitable for analysis (using tools like Python, Excel, or SQL).               

·         Ensure data quality by conducting regular data validation checks.            

 

3. Data Analysis:

·         Perform basic statistical analysis and derive insights from collected datasets to support business decisions.

·         Create visualizations and reports that clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

·         Collaborate with senior analysts to analyze data trends and patterns, providing insights and recommendations.

 

4. Collaboration & Documentation:

·         Work closely with senior data analysts, engineers, and other team members to understand data needs and provide relevant solutions.

·         Maintain clear documentation of scraping scripts, data pipelines, and analysis processes for future reference and team collaboration.

 

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·         Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

 

·         Technical Skills:

·         Basic experience with web scraping tools and libraries (e.g., Python with BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium).      

·         Familiarity with APIs and data extraction techniques.

·         Basic programming/scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or another language for data extraction.

·         Proficiency in data manipulation using Excel, SQL, or Python (Pandas).

·         Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib) is a plus.

 

·         Analytical Skills:

·         Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

·         Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.

·         Basic knowledge of statistical concepts is a plus.

 

Soft Skills:

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

·         Willingness to learn new technologies and data analysis techniques.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience in data cleaning, ETL processes, or working with databases.

·         Previous experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.

·         Familiarity with agile methodologies for project management.
